I've seriously barely slept at all today.

I'm so tired, I've spent the whole night tossing and turning, my eyes hurt and so does my head. I look like shit - no amount of make-up is covering THIS up. I feel completely out of sorts and disoriented. I often survive on a few hours sleep but I honestly don't feel like I got more than an hour in total last night. Everytime I got to sleep, something woke me immediately back up again and then I would struggle to fall back asleep again.

I'm so exhausted I feel like crying.

I feel like I may fall asleep at my desk today.

  1. Awww honey, take a mental health day.

    Go home!!!!

    S X

  2. I'd love to say stay off work, but as we all know it probably won't solve anything.

Maybe you need a sleep therapist or something to help you sleep, a herbal remedy or somethin.

i hope you sort your problem soon. take care.

  3. Take up running, it helped me.

  4. Ahhh, i know exactly what you mean!Maybe try a sleep balm? Im going to use mine tonight and i have tried to lay off the caffiene.
    Good luck!

  5. hey, you dont have depression do you? because i know that tired, exhausted, cannot sleep, want to cry feeling - but least i know WHY i'm having it....

  6. Nothing worse than insomnia. Hope you sleep better tonight! When I can't sleep (this is going to sound ridiculous) I get up, put in my iPod and dance like crazy for 3 - 4 mins. Works like a charm. Just make sure your bedroom door is shut, or people will think you cra-zay.

  7. Ah rubbishness! HUGS! Drink a lot of water. Hope you sleep better tonight.

  8. Ugh, I feel exactly the same way. Expect I got about 6 hours of sleep.
I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure I've got what they refer to as "the case of the Mondays"

  9. I take a hot bath at night when I feel like I SHOULD be going to bed. I bring my book in there (and maybe some chocolate) and read until the bath water is cold or I feel sleepy.

Once I get in bed, I can usually fall asleep pretty easily. It's something to do with body temperature rising (in the tub) and then dropping (when you get out) that makes your body sleepy. Plus it helps when you're feeling sad.

  10. Thanks for all your advice guys! Luckily I DIDN'T fall asleep at my desk and started to wake up properly around about lunchtime and now I'm wide awake - ironically right about the time i should be thinking about winding DOWN! But there you go . . . :)

  11. I go through phases where I have the same problem. I think I've finally mastered the art of sleeping at my desk while sitting up. One hand on the keyboard, the other on the mouse is very key to pulling it off. Luckily I'm a light sleeper and can usually open my eyes at the sound of footsteps=)

You wanna leave me a comment? Come on, you know you want to really . . . ;)
