Back when I was in my tweens/early teens, I was obsessed with The Babysitter Club series. I was particularly obsessed with the character Claudia Kishi, because she was a junk food addict and would secretly buy chocolate and sweets and hide them in her room because her parents wouldn't allow it. My parents were quite good like that too (although i thought them evil at the time) so I used to do the same - buy three or four items of chocolate at once and hide them in my room. Then promptly eat them. There was little point in me even LOCATING a hiding place. They were gone in mere hours. I hid them IN MY MOUTH!

And that sets the scene for the rest of my life. These days I can't keep wine in the house. If it's there... I WILL drink it. Luckily that's not just me. Me and a girl in my pole fitness class talked about that the other day . . . she agreed with me and said that she didn't understand people who had wine cellars. How was there any wine left??? How could they actually leave it alone??

I have no idea. If you care enough to have a wine cellar . . . then surely you want to drink it???

But I digress. For, for once, this is NOT about wine. It is about the day about three months ago where I suddenly realised how delicious it was to eat low fat Philadelphia directly out of the tub with a spoon.

Yeah. I used to just spread it on stuff, y'know like you're MEANT to do? But then the Philadelphia would sit in the fridge for days then weeks and next thing I knew I would take it out innocently then realise yuckitiscoveredinmouldandmustbechuckedout because it had been there that bloody long. Which is a waste of food.

I now eat Philadelphia like it is ice cream and I am an addict.
I bought a tub of it this afternoon and it is nearly all gone.
I know, it's weird. At least it is the low fat version though. It's probably MARGINALLY better for me than ice cream . . .
So apparently I can't keep Philadelphia in the house anymore either . . .

Is there anything YOU feel like you can't keep in the house? And do you know of a way to resist the urge of BUYING it when its so damn delicious???

  1. I can't have peanut butter in the house. Or really, any sweet snack food (cookies, etc). I will devour them.

  2. That's me with nearly every form of junk food, ever. My solution? Don't fight it, eat it all and feel good about it!

  3. My biggest addictions by far are Nutella and Salt & Malt Vinegar McCoys crisps.

  4. I'm a chocoholic but actually all I wanted to say in this comment was that I LOVED Babysitter's Club!!

  5. I don't keep ice cream in the house because it's just not safe.

"eat low fat Philadelphia directly out of the tub with a spoon"---I'm so glad I'm not the only person who does. I ate a spoonful the other day, and my boyfriend look at me like I was nuts.

You wanna leave me a comment? Come on, you know you want to really . . . ;)
