FAVOURITE SONG?

When people ask me what my favourite song is, I cast my mind back 16 (16???) years to 1994.

Favourite song will ALWAYS be Stay (I Missed You) by Lisa Loeb and 9 Stories.

I can't tell you why this is the case; but I just love it.

What is your favourite song?

  1. oh that is SUCH a good song! I would put it on my top ten list too, I think!

my all-time favorite, I think, is "make me smile," by chicago...they are such a cheesey old band, but I adore them!

  2. My favourite song is called Santa Monica by Savage Garden. It means a lot to me and Darren Hayes' voice is amazing :)

It's about not knowing who is on the other end of the phone. No one knows what they are like or who they are. It struck a cord with me when working in call centres.

    :)

  4. I love this song... love it. I actually remember very vividly hearing it on the radio for the first time. I was on my way home from summer camp...

I don't know if I have one favorite song... but I love Africa (Toto), Send me on My Way (Rusted Root)... I guess I have a list but these two are pretty close to the top for sure!

  10. I haven’t heard this song in years!!! I don't have one favourite, it's so hard to pikc however one of the contenders would be 'Iris' by 'The Goo Goo Dolls'. It reminds me of being 16/17. I was obsessed with his song

My mum also had a cd when I was the same age of women’s power ballards which I went through a pahse of listening too. I think my parents were worried I might turn out to be a lesbian. Then in New Zealand a few years ago one of the radio stations just played power ballads. Oh those were happy days!!
    Tasmin Archer - Sleeping Satellite
    k.d. lang - Constant Craving
Shanice - I Love Your Smile

  11. I haven't listened to that album for many years. I might dig it out this afternoon now.

I have songs that are favourites for different reasons, some with great memories and some not so.

My favourite two at the moment -

Court & Spark by Joni Mitchell
Easy Plateau by Ryan Adams & The Cardinals

  12. Okay, this is creepy because I was just thinking about her. I was posting on another blog that was about seeing celebrities and how they are much smaller in person.

I saw her perform in a very small venue/coffee house (about 50 people) and thought, "wow, she's so tiny".

I wonder if I should play lottery today.

  25. That is a great song! I don't know if I have a favorite song. I really love Norah Jones "Come Away With Me" since that is the hubs and I's song but other than that I like way too many to be able to pick a favorite!
